Pirkanmaa Paahtimo is a dedicated coffee roasting company that has been crafting quality coffee since 2013. They are passionate about finding unique coffees, roasting them to perfection, and delivering them fresh to various locations including shops, cafes, restaurants, and offices. Their mission is to provide coffee lovers with meaningful moments through exceptional coffee experiences.

The roots of Pirkanmaa Paahtimo trace back to 2007 when the roastery, initially named Fresh Coffee, began operations in Toijala with a used Probat roaster. After a move to Onkiniemi in Tampere and a fire in 2011, the roastery relocated to Patamäenkatu in Sarankulma. Here, the roasting continued under the new name, Pirkanmaa Roastery, with a new Probat roaster. In 2013, Pirkanmaa Roastery merged with Cafe Solo Oy, a company operating since 2005 in Pori Puuvilla. This merger strengthened their operations, which also included Pori Paahtimo's coffee roastery and the Camionette coffee truck.

Pirkanmaa Paahtimo prides itself on long-term relationships with raw coffee producers, environmental responsibility, and partnerships with customers. They source their coffee from various regions, cooperatives, or farms, ensuring ethical farming and working conditions. They pay above the average market price for raw coffee, supporting fair compensation and infrastructure improvements for farmers, which in turn leads to better quality coffee. Their coffees generally score between 84 and 87 points, classifying them as specialty coffees.

Environmentally, Pirkanmaa Paahtimo strives to be sustainable. They aim to use fully recyclable materials for packaging in the future and currently contribute to reusing materials and managing waste responsibly. For instance, they donate empty coffee sacks for craft use and repurpose coffee husks as bedding for outdoor areas in cooperation with Tampere Ecopartners. They also plan to implement heat recovery systems to enhance energy efficiency.

Pirkanmaa Paahtimo has established a strong presence in the Pirkanmaa region and partners with many local restaurants and cafes. They aim to introduce their high-quality, distinctive coffees to coffee enthusiasts throughout Finland, encouraging people to appreciate the art of small roasters and elevate their coffee experiences.
