Inspired by a mythological creature associated with nature's guardianship, water, and earth fertility, our name reflects our deep connection to the natural world. Naga, a serpentine divinity revered in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Southeast Asian folklore, serves as our guiding inspiration.
Located in Rixensart, Naga Coffee is dedicated to bringing attention to Southeast Asian specialty coffee, diverting focus from the industry's common fixation on Central Africa and Latin America. This vision stems from our passion for coffee, cultivated during diverse trips to Asia. We aspire to share the quality and expertise of tropical Asian cultivators from countries such as Thailand, Indonesia, and Myanmar. Our aim is to showcase the rich culture and relationships these nations have with their coffee. Partnering with Tanguy from Beersel, renowned for his expertise in micro-roasting, is crucial to realizing this goal.
As coffee enthusiasts, we've witnessed the growing presence of specialty coffee in homes and daily consumption habits. Gone are the days of undisclosed content and origins in pod beverages. No longer must one endure burnt-tasting coffees that mask inferior quality products.
